I was hesitant to order these lights given the low price compared to several other deck lights I’ve looked at online but figured it was worth trying. In addition to the 10-pk lights with the photocell I purchased the 9.5′ extension. The lights can be used for many other types of applications other than being submerged in water. I’ve had mine installed for about a month with lots of rain since installing and haven’t had any issues.Pros:1) All parts came in 1 box without any retail packaging and each light housing was wrapped with bubble wrap and a rubber band. This was great so I didn’t have extra trash to deal with.2) Lights are very bright. I placed them on the inner bottom railing and steps of my 16′ x 16′ deck. I recommend to place them so they will NOT be at eye level. The bottom rail works great for my deck because the light reflects off the composite flooring providing the right amount of light.3) The 10-light set was sufficient to evenly cover the 16′ x 16′ deck however, I would like to purchase 4 more lights to add more to the steps. Adding on is simple because of the plug-and-play design.Cons:1) You need a 7/8 inch hole to fit the light snug in which I used a forstner bit. The rubber gaskets on the light housing do not stay in place when you slide the light into the hole but this didn’t cause any problems other than knowing the gaskets have slid out of place.
