Kohler 1044820-0 Devonshire Tank Cover Replacement Part, White

I had looked on Home Depot’s website, but there were many complaints about this part being the right shape but an inch or too narrower, and the product description at Home Depot said it was narrower than my Kohler Devonshire toilet.I see here those who complain it doesn’t fit are older reviews but they also don’t say why it doesn’t fit. Did they order it for the wrong toilet model or design? Idk.I ordered knowing I could return if it was wrong. But it was right. Mine fell on the floor and broke the corner but this replacement part was same as the factory original and fit perfectly. I have the Kohler Devonshire in white, K-4438. Tank is about 15″ wide and this fits as designed.
