Aqua Computer Compatible Quadro Lüftersteuerung Pour PWM-Lüfter
The media could not be loaded. This is easily one of the best when it comes to fan control. The hardware is top notch, but really the software is where this shines. Aquasuite is easily the most fully featured software suite for air cooling, water cooling and RGB. Lots of people complain about it being additional cost after your trial license from the initial purchase, but the level of functionality of this software can’t really be found anywhere else. Aquacomputer is not a huge company, and for them to upkeep software with this feature set and level of functionality is frankly amazing. I have no problem paying extra for new licenses as it is worth it.Paired with an Aquaero 6, you can program this thing without using another precious internal USB slot.. instead you can use the proprietary “aquabus” to discover and control the Quadro and all other Aquabus supported devices. Aquabus can be a little difficult to set up if you have multiple aquabus devices, but once it’s set up it is rock solid. The Aquaero will communicate with the Quadro even if it’s disconnected from USB. Just add power, and these two devices operate as one. Any configuration settings are flashed to the Aquaero’s onboard memory and it controls the device independently of software, which is a useful feature for redundancy. If your machine locks up and your USB freezes, instead of defaulting to highest fan speed it just keeps chugging along, changing the fan speed based on whatever temperature sensor you hook up to it, whatever fan curves you have programmed. An extremely underrated feature of the Quadro, due to the non-standard connector, is the RGB controller. This appears to be the very same addressible RGB controller found on a single channel of a Farbwerk 360, which is a top notch lighting controller. Again the aquasuite software shines in this regard, with customization of the color patterns on the strip being the most fully featured and customizable I’ve ever seen. You will have to buy an adapter to hook it into a standard 3 pin 5v RGB input, but nothing else is required.Word of warning; some AMD chipsets have problems with USB on this device. Usually 1 will work fine, but any beyond that start to have problems. There seems to be something with how the chipset implements USB that is a little nonstandard, and it impacts many Aquacomputer devices. For instance, I have a Threadripper and an X399 chipset, and while an Aquaero would work by itself, and a Quadro would work by itself, an Aquaero and a Quadro would not work together despite having a Aquacomputer branded USB hub. I ended up buying a PCI-E USB card just for aquacomputer devices, but I put it on an PCI ribbon cable and hid it behind my vertical mounted GPU, so not a huge deal.Anyway, try it! If you have an appreciation for the finest and you are a water cooling/PC hobbyist, you will appreciate this and other Aquacomputer products.
