Makes it easy to remove soldered components. Easy on the board traces. It just suck up all the old solder off of a solder joint, and you are left with a trace that is easy to reuse. I sometimes forget to use the wick, and make a mess of the joint using a solder sucker. tool, nut never a problem with the wick. Highly recommended.
