Bought this for a crossbody pack / waist pack. Use it mostly on my shoulder, and the original strap (resembles thin seatbelt material) were digging into my neck with a phone and earbud case in the pack.Pros: for this particular waist pack (Ozark Trail 1.5L waist pack, $10 — strap is 2.0″ wide), the design includes the main strap buckle very close to the L side of the pack when worn (a feature missing from most of the packs I’d tried here). This aids security, as a thief can’t access the buckle without you seeing them. But there’s a much more relevant benefit the Amooca helps with very well…There are two seat belt cushions in the Amooca packaging. If you push the little elastic tail tamer OEM to the Ozark Trail pack up to the buckle, it grips the doubled-up belt a bit, and prevents unwanted loosening — the Amooca then helps more, by wrapping around both the main strap and its free tail behind you, which has a stitched end that can’t go thru one Amooca cushion, never mind two, when velcro’d in place.Thus you have a nice crossbody pack that doesn’t need to be adjusted for size nearly as often as without the Amooca, plus doesn’t dig into your neck and cause a red rash in use. Looks a tiny bit bulky… but the tradeoffs are worth it for me, who nearly lost their phone wallet with all credentials a few weeks ago — so had to find a solution. The Amooca, for a fair price, gives me comfort the utility of not futzing with the strap, everytime I handle or don the pack — and on trips abroad, it’ll be worn most of the day.Cons: so far, no downsides.Will rate 4 of 5, since I don’t know what its durability is over time, or how it will fare with a wash — something in the past I’ve rated full marks on other products, only to find they fall apart in a front-loading washing machine. But so far, found a benefit for the product that wasn’t intended by its designers, and wanted to share this if you have a similar 2.0″-wide-strap waist pack / crossbody pack with a buckle near the pack, the Amooca may be priced right for you.Four stars, will update to five if it’s built to last ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ _UPDATE 09 APR 25:Daily wear since delivery; and good news — no sign of falling apart in the wash, no surprises yet to report (will update if they appear).
