Description Roman Imperatorial (Late Republic). Time of the Second Triumvirate. L. Livineius Regulus, as moneyer and praetor AR (Silver) denarius. Mint of Rome; struck 42 BC. Graded Fine by NGC. Design: Bare head of Regulus right / Curule chair; moneyer name above and below Reference: Crawford 494/28. Sydenham 1110. Dimensions: 19 mm / ~3.8 gm Condition: NGC Fine, scratches. One of the earlier Roman coins to feature a portrait of a living person, only two years after Caesar's famous lifetime portrait issues.
